A list of things I was somewhat surprised to see at the Sloan concert last night:
- A miniature scale farm - including giant cows, mini tractors and a big red barn.
- Cows. Real live cows.
- Copious amounts of cow poop. From the real live cows.
- A stand selling baked potatoes.
- A cowboy with a belt buckle as big as a dinner plate.

Twitter To The Editor

When you work at a place like silverorange many funny and interesting things often happen. For instance - sometimes when you are sitting around with co-workers joking about funny ideas for websites - they actually become real websites.
And that's how twittertotheeditor.com was born.
Just send a Twitter or Identi.ca message to @ttte and within a couple of minutes your message/complaint/mini-rant will appear on the front pages of Twitter to the Editor serving as inspiration for the entire online world.
We fully expect it to become the next big internet phenomenon. Sorta like what happened the last time we did this.
Now go sign up for a twitter account, and let the world wide web know how you really feel.

Lost = Fantasy Island

My friend Mike has figured out what the secret is behind the ABC television series Lost. He, like me, has been following the show since the first season, and we sometimes talk about the different plot-lines as well as some of the many theories that are out there about the show on the internet.
Well, Mike has the best theory yet. He has figured out that the Lost island is actually Fantasy Island. Yes, that Fantasy Island.

A Playlist For The Jerk Who Stole My iPod

Hi, how are things? Enjoying the summer? We've had a pretty good string of nice days lately. Let's hope it continues.
Anyway, enough small talk. Lets get down to business. I suppose you're wondering why i am writing this to you. I want to talk to you about my iPod. You stole it out of my car on Sunday night.
Remember? Maybe not, since you've probably been stealing iPods out of peoples cars since you were a wee little asshole. Well, you'll remember mine if for no other reason than it was filled to the brim [all 30 gigs of it] with some pretty stellar music. If you haven't already sold it to some unsuspecting tourist or one of our less than honest pawn shops, [so you can support your crack habit or whatever it is that makes you steal other peoples stuff] you should pop in some headphones and flip through some of the tunes.
I've picked out a number of specific songs that i'd like you to listen to. Lets call it a custom playlist, and we'll label it "For the Jerk Who Stole my iPod". I've also included a few notes on each song:

I copy and pasted all the lyrics from the Who's best album - Who's Next - into Wordle, and it came up with this pretty cool little word cloud. Click for a larger view.

New Blorg!

Things are looking a little gray around here - not to worry - should have things back to normal soon. We've upgraded to a new blogging platform - it's called Blorg, and it's pretty darn cool. It might even convince me to post a little more often. With the change we're still working out some kinks with the original design of this site. In the meantime, I've used the totally awesome 'Theme Selector' to change the look of my site. All i had to do was press a button. It's that easy.
More soon.

Steven Segal Week
Posted by on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 - 4 comments
While sitting at home last night, channel surfing, I happened upon channel 56 - aka 'Peachtree TV' - formally know at 'The Superstation'. After watching a few minutes of a Seinfeld re-run, a commercial came on informing me that it is Steven Segal week on Peachtree TV.
Seriously.
Steven Segal week. In 2008.
I wonder if they have a hard time finding sponsors for those time slots? I can't believe the man is still making movies. Though a quick check of IMDB does show he has a number of recently completed movies as well as a few in production. All of which have awesome titles and character names:
Prince of Pistols (2008) (in production) .... John Prince
Killing Point (2008) (V) (post-production) .... Detective Jacob King
The Untitled Onion Movie (2008) (completed) .... Cock Puncher
Pistol Whipped (2008) (V) .... Matt
Urban Justice (2007) (V) .... Simon
Flight of Fury (2007) (V) .... John Sands
Attack Force (2006) (V) .... Cmdr. Marshall Lawson
Shadow Man (2006) (V) .... Jack Foster
Mercenary for Justice (2006) (V) .... John Seeger
Black Dawn (2005) (V) .... Jonathan Cold
Today You Die (2005) (V) .... Harlan Banks
Check out some of those character names. Commander Marshall Lawson! Though the best is for the Onion Movie - Cock Puncher! Hilarious. And that is likely the only movie with Steven Segal in it that i will see on purpose in the next.... ever.
Who knows though, maybe the guy will have some sort of renaissance like John Travolta did for a year or two after Pulp Fiction. Maybe.
