Day 97. It's a Tuesday afternoon in December, but I feel like I've just experienced my first real Sabbath. Let me explain: The doorknobs in our apartment fall off on an alarmingly regular basis. They're mercurial little suckers. That little tidbit is from AJ Jacobs book - The Year of Living Biblically, which I just finished reading. It's a good read - quite funny and a little inspiring in parts - definitely recommended.
Since Mark suggested I might add a little Canadian flair to this meme, I decided I should pick up the 'Canadian' book that is closest to me as well - here are the results of that:
Terry's love of hockey was nearly bottomless. Wayne Gretzky and Bobby Orr visited Terry at the Foxes' home, and Tiger Williams visited him while he was in Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster. The hockey sticks on these pages were presented to Terry by Tiger Williams, Darryl Sittler, the Montreal Canadians and the Vancouver Canucks. That comes from my favorite author [who also happens to be Canadian] Douglas Coupland, from his book Terry - which is written about the life of Terry Fox - one of the most inspiring Canadians ever. Interestingly enough, there were only 3 sentences on page 123, and they are the ones included above. The subject matter doesn't get much more Canadian than that!
Now comes the hard part, finding friendly bloggers who actually read my site, that might respond.
I'll tag my good friend Rodney at glasseyerod.com - even though I know he is much too busy with his brand new son to respond.
Next up will be Ben at occasionallywright.typepad.com. He just finished covering the big NHL All Star weekend in Atlanta, so he's probably looking for his next blogging challenge. Well here it is.
Third up is my buddy Aaron. He and his lovely family are in Kenya serving as missionaries, so I am sure he has all the time in the world to respond to my silly little blogging meme. That is if they have electricty this week.
I do believe those might be the only 3 people who actually read my blog that have their own blogs. Other than my co-workers - though if I tagged any of them, I would be mocked and ridiculed - which is still likely the case just for responding to this one.

Hey Dennis,
Sorry for taking so long to respond to your "Tag", We are extremely honoured and I've ment to respond to this a while. Internet isn't the best here and my first attempts failed, but hopefully It will work tonight. I had wanted to quote Rob Bell, but Velvet Elvis page 123 is just the coloured intro to the chapter "Dust" and in Sex God page 123 doesn't come across very well when taken out of context (Women using sex to fill emotional emptiness). Tristan's favorite "A Dangerous Book for Boys" actually has a grammar lesson on page 123 -- not so dangerous. And My favorite Christmas gift "I Am America (And so can you!)" by Stephen Colbert isn't so satirical with a section on higher education (though page 113 has a crazy rant on homosexuality). Anyway, the closest book to me tonight is my devotional so it will have to do.
Blessings brother!
Aaron
