When i was 8 years old, living in the ever expanding suburbia known as 'Sherwood', there were only two things that i wanted in life. One of those things was a Mego Spiderman Action Figure , which i was able to get through consistent whining close to my birthday or Christmas.
Oh to be 8 Again...

The second thing that i wanted i wasn't so lucky in getting. It was just too expensive, and only the "rich kids" got one of them. It was the wicked Green Machine , possibly the greatest form of childhood transportation ever invented. I think there was one kid in our neighborhood that had one. I remember getting to drive it every once in a while, doing 'power slides' on the street in front of our house. There is only one word to describe the feeling one gets at 8 years old when they are able to slide sideways while just two inches above the pavement. That word is: awesome.
As you can see by that link, Huffy Bicycles has re-designed and re-released the Green Machine for a whole new generation of 8 to 10 year olds. It's times like these that i wish i was a kid again.
